Riding with children
Family bike rental in Málaga
Getting a family around Málaga on two wheels is a solved problem in the Netherlands, and it works just as well here. The question is only which combination of cargo bike and child seat fits your children.

Carry 2 or Carry 3
The Vogue Carry 2 is the two wheel cargo bike: narrower, quicker through traffic, and the natural pick if one adult is confident on a loaded bike. The Vogue Carry 3 sits on three wheels and stays upright when it is stationary, which is what most people want when children climb in and out on their own.
Child seats on a standard bike
For one small passenger, a Qibbel front seat or rear seat on a standard e-bike is often easier than a cargo bike, and cheaper: the bike stays on the €15 to €35 rates and the seat is added per day. The front seat keeps a toddler in view and in conversation, the rear seat carries a bigger child.
Where families actually ride here
The flat, separated routes along the seafront are the obvious start with children: no gradients, few crossings and plenty of places to stop. The historic centre is more mixed, with pedestrian streets where everyone has to slow to walking pace. Ask at the counter and we will sketch a route that matches the age of your youngest rider.
Common questions
- Do you have helmets in children's sizes?
- Helmets are part of every rental and the counter fits them before you leave, so bring the children along at collection if you can.
- Can two children ride in one cargo bike?
- The Vogue Carry bikes are built to carry more than one child, but the safe combination depends on their age, height and weight. Tell us their ages when you book and we will set the bike up correctly.
- Are children allowed on the guided tours?
- The guided tours run in small groups of six or more riders and are built around adult cycling. For a family outing, a rental with a route suggestion usually works better than a fixed tour schedule.
